BACKSTORY
Reva Daneiris Kang was born to a Filipino mother and a Korean father in Myeongdong, South Korea. Her mother's warmth and storytelling, combined with her father's quiet discipline, are the characteristics that the lady has been known for ever since she was a child.Reva took comfort in the garden from an early age. While other kids played inside, she was digging in the dirt, planting seeds, and whispering to petals like they were old friends. Reva listened as her mother taught her the language of flowers, explaining that camellias represented longing and chrysanthemums represented grief.Despite growing up in the modern world of South Korea, she frequently found herself drawn back to her mother's tales of home that included the warmth, the laughter, and the blossoming sampaguitas outside their home in Tagaytay. Pursuing the aspect of herself that had always seemed out of reach, Reva packed her belongings and took a plane to the Philippines as soon as her teenage years were over. Attracted by the city's vibrancy and the desire to relive the tales that she has heard from her mother, she made her mother's hometown, Tagaytay, her home. However, an opportunity opened for one of her dreams to come true. Tucked away in a peaceful corner close to a bustling café strip at Makati, she opened a flower shop called "Garden of Fleurs." It was a haven as well as a business. People came for flowers, but stayed for her stories, her sincerity, and the way her shop seemed to bloom even on rainy days.Behind every bouquet she ties is a piece of herself—full of love and warmth.
